Maker’s Summer Camp – Week 2 PM – Fashion Design – Ages 8+

Led by Award-Winning Designer and former Creative Director at Tommy Hilfiger, Elizabeth Olsen!
Campers will learn about different styles, take a fashion personality test, and learn how to draft and draw their very own fashion creations to create and present their own collection. Campers will also make their own canvas & leather tote bag from scratch, tackle fun supplemental crafts, and design and create their own fashion accessories to take home at the end of the week. Fashion Design Camp is for ages 8 and up!
Learn how to design a fashion collection and make your own personalized tote bag and jewelry to take home!
- Create a mood board and learn clothing styles & details to draw your own collection on fashion croquis (Silhouette specific to fashion sketches)
- Create a canvas and faux leather tote bag from scratch and personalize it
- Create your own jewelry, we’ll make a bracelet and earrings too
- Create your own accessories: pom-pom key chain, bedazzled sunglasses, jeweled hair accessories
- Learn about deconstructing clothes, upcycling and recycling to make your own new garment to show in a mini fashion show and take home
Choose to book the full day and add on BOHO Bliss in the mornings! Full day campers will bring a sack lunch and/or snack and a waterbottle. The 12-1 pm hour will be used for lunch and structured free time.
Elizabeth Olsen has a degree in Design from FIT in New York City and worked for many years as a Stylist in Los Angeles, CA, as a Creative Director in NYC, and traveled all over the world before launching her footwear line, Olsenhaus. The line was successfully sold in 14 countries to small boutiques and large retailers, Barneys, Nordstrom, Amazon and Fred Segal. Olsenhaus and Elizabeth have been featured in press, domestically & internationally, in publications from Vogue, Instyle Marie Claire to Oprah and The New York Times. Press coverage extended to Tv appearances on Bravo, TV Guide, features on CBS’s The Price is Right and Olsenhaus was promoted by several celebrities.
Our camp director is a certified teacher with 12 years of Elementary and Middle School education experience, and our instructors are tremendously warm, caring, and supportive to every artist who enters our studio. Our goal is for your child to have the best camp experience possible!
If your child is unable to attend the camp session for which you registered, please inform us as soon as possible. If you notify us at least fifteen business days before the camp, we will issue you a full refund for the cost of the camp or allow you to switch camp dates, space permitting. If you are not able to provide fifteen business days’ notice, we will issue a store credit or switch camp dates, space permitting. You are welcome to gift the camp session to another child, and provide us with that person’s name, age, and contact information. Extreme circumstances will be handed on a case-by-case basis.
